History

2006: The ELIJAH SMITH HOUSES built.  It appears the park building may have been open.  Unlike 2015 - 2020 and most likely beyond when the park building has been in perpetual construction.  See Von King Cultural Arts Center Multipurpose Room Reconstruction

1996:  Building seems to be added to the Park.  Also Throop and Van Buren lots cleared.

1951:  Park seems to have less trees

1924:  Park was mostly walkways and trees.  Homes were on Throop Ave and Van Buren
